The Azad Hind Issues

Azad Hind Sena was establised by Netaji Subash Chandra Bose,a freedom fighter from India. The task of AHS was to engage the British using guerilla waffare techniques and thus force them to leave the country.
To this effect Netaji established the INA or the Indian National Army and found many followers supporting the worthy cause.Soon Netaji found himself in prison as a result of his endeavours. When he was released he had made up im mind to obtain Hitler's support to liberate India from the British yoke. Both Hitler and Netaji had a common enemy and Hitler was more than willing to offer support.
Once Netaji had a chance to visit a POW camp in Germany which is where he recruited the initial soldiers for the INA.
While in Germany Netaji drew up plans for 'Azad Hind' or Free India.Germany even sponsored the printing of the Azad Hind stamps. These stamps were designed by Axter Heudtlass, a german artist and printed in photo gravure by The German Printing House in Berlin.Germany's intention was to use the stamps as charity labels for raising funds for the Azad Hind efforts.
A set of 10 stamps were produced ad Netaji planned to bring these stamps into circulation the moment India attained Independence.
With Germany on his side Netaji now concentrated on getting Japanese help for his mission.Japan welcomed him with open arms and supplied his army of 45000 soldiers from Singapore with arms and ammunition.
The INA fighting alongside the Japanese liberated Andaman & Nicobar islands from the British and continued its march onwards until they reached Imphal on the eastern border of India.
The ultimate aim of the INA was to move onto Delhi and capture the city.
